Free Education Kicks off on September 17

President Julius Maada Bio will launch the free educational package on 20th August ahead of the reopening of schools in September according to Minister of Primary and Secondary Education Alpha Osman Timbo. Minister Timbo was speaking to journalists last Thursday at the usual government press briefing held at the Ministry of Information and Communication, Youyi Building in Freetown. He said that they have completed the verification in schools and that the president's flagship free education scheme starts 17th September.  He also disclosed that over 40,000 pupils were not allowed to take the West Africa Senior School Certificate Examination 2017 because they were attending schools that have not been approved by government.  However, he told journalists that the affected schools have now been approved and that this would further complement the government's free and quality education scheme.  The minister noted that allocations have been set aside for all government assisted s

And it should not be surprising that the next female Head of State may come from West Africa again even if she hails from Sierra Leone, the former Athens of West Africa.  The unexpected will always continue to happen till the end of time and it is again likely to happen this time round in Sierra Leone. STEADY BONGO DISCLOSED THE BEST KID MUSICIAN IN SIERRA LEONE.

This disclosure was made at the Makeni Town hall during the musical battle between Freetown and Makeni where he served as chief judge. The event hosted top Sierra Leonean entertainers and music loving fans to express not only their gratitude to the just elected President of the *Makeni Artiste Union, Franklyn Milton  (Stunt Man)* but to see the winners of the competition as well.
